Getting started

Create an account, connect your content, and run your first optimization.

Inverity optimizes your images and video automatically — it analyzes each asset, picks the best method for that content, and writes back a smaller file at the same visual quality. You connect a source once, and Inverity handles the rest.

The shape of a setup

Every Inverity setup follows the same four steps, whatever platform you're on:

1. Create an account. Every new account starts free on the Foundation plan.
2. Connect a source. Paste a token, or sign in with OAuth for the platforms that support it.
3. Choose what to watch. Select the folders, collections, or products you want optimized.
4. Review results. The dashboard shows original size, optimized size, and savings per asset.

Most teams finish this in under fifteen minutes. The longest step is usually creating the API token inside your own platform.

What you need before you start

• Admin access to your CMS or DAM — or someone who can create an API token for you. See Tokens and permissions for exactly what each platform needs.
• An idea of which folders matter. You don't have to optimize everything on day one, and starting narrow makes the first results easier to read.
• Nothing else. There is no SDK to install, no CDN to reconfigure, and no build step to change.

What happens to your files

Inverity processes a copy of each asset. Depending on your settings, it either replaces the original with the optimized version or stores the optimized version alongside it. In a DAM, the optimized file is added as a new version or rendition so your master is never overwritten — see How write-back works.
