Adobe Commerce

Connect Adobe Commerce (Magento) with an API token.

What you'll need

  • Your store's URL
  • An API token with permission to read and write product media

Create the token

Create an integration or API user in your Adobe Commerce admin with access to catalog product media, and generate a token for it. Grant the minimum that covers reading and writing product images — Inverity doesn't need orders, customers, or any other resource.

Name the integration Inverity so it's identifiable in your admin later.

Connect

  1. In the Inverity dashboard, open Connectors and choose Adobe Commerce.
  2. Enter your store URL and paste the token.
  3. Choose the catalogs or categories whose product images you want optimized.

What gets optimized

Product images, in the context of their product. You select catalogs or categories rather than folders.

Good to know

  • Cache and image cache. Adobe Commerce keeps its own generated image cache in addition to any CDN or full-page cache in front of it. After a run, flush the relevant caches or you'll keep seeing the previous files. See Delivery and caching.
  • Multi-store setups. If you run multiple store views over one catalog, optimizing the shared product media affects all of them — usually what you want, but worth knowing.
  • Existing products need a run. New product images in a watched scope are optimized automatically.
  • Product data is untouched. Roles, labels, ordering, and variant assignments are unchanged.

Disconnecting

Remove the connector in Inverity, then deactivate the integration in your Adobe Commerce admin.

Troubleshooting

  • "Token is invalid" — confirm the integration is activated, not just created; Adobe Commerce requires an explicit activation step.
  • Images optimized but the storefront looks the same — flush the image cache and the full-page cache.

See Connector errors.
