Contentful
Connect Contentful with a one-click sign-in.
Contentful uses OAuth, so there's no token to create or store.
Before you start
You need a Contentful user with access to the space and environment you want to connect, and permission to authorize apps.
Connect
- In the Inverity dashboard, open Connectors and choose Contentful.
- Sign in to Contentful and approve access.
- Select the space — and environment, if you use more than one — to connect.
- Choose what Inverity should watch.
What gets optimized
Image assets in the space you connect. Optimized files replace the originals so that every entry referencing them keeps resolving — no entry edits, no republish of content models.
Good to know
- Watch your environments. If you use
masteralongside staging environments, connect the one you actually deliver from. Optimizing a staging environment doesn't change what your production site serves. - Assets may need publishing. Depending on how your space is configured, an updated asset may need to be published before the delivery API serves it.
- Existing assets need a run. Watching covers new uploads; run optimization to process the existing library.
- The Images API still works. Contentful's own transformation parameters continue to apply on top of the optimized source.
Disconnecting
Remove the connector in Inverity, then revoke Inverity's authorization in your Contentful account settings.
Troubleshooting
- The space doesn't appear — your user may lack access, or you authorized with a different Contentful organization.
- Optimized assets aren't served — check whether the asset needs publishing, then check your CDN. See Delivery and caching.
