Connect a content management system.
Inverity optimizes the images in your CMS and writes the smaller versions back in place, so your existing pages, templates, and links keep working unchanged.

Connecting
- Open Connectors in the dashboard and choose your platform.
- Authorize. Sign in (OAuth platforms) or paste the token the screen asks for (token platforms). Each token platform shows exactly where to create the token.
- Choose folders or collections. Select what Inverity should watch. New images there are optimized automatically.
Stores work slightly differently
For product-based stores — Shopify, Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce — images are optimized in the context of their product rather than as loose files in a folder. You select catalogs or collections, and Inverity handles the images attached to the products inside them.
This matters because product images are usually the highest-traffic images on a store and the ones most often uploaded straight from a supplier at full size.
What gets optimized
Media in the locations you select. Inverity doesn't touch:
- assets outside your watched locations
- non-media files (documents, code, exports)
- theme or template files

Check your CDN after the first run
Most CMS platforms sit behind a CDN or page cache. The optimized file is written back to your platform immediately, but visitors keep seeing the cached copy until that cache expires or you purge it. See Delivery and caching.
