Frontify

Connect Frontify with your domain and an API token.

What you'll need

  • Your Frontify domain
  • An API token with permission to read assets and upload new versions

Create the token

Generate an API token in your Frontify account settings with the scopes needed to read and write assets. Copy it when it's shown.

Connect

  1. In the Inverity dashboard, open Connectors and choose Frontify.
  2. Enter your domain exactly as it appears in your browser, and paste the token.
  3. Select the libraries or collections you want watched.

How write-back works

Inverity adds the optimized file as a new version of the asset rather than overwriting your master. See How write-back works.

Good to know

  • The domain must match exactly, including the subdomain.
  • Brand guidelines pages. If assets are embedded in Frontify guideline pages, they continue to resolve — the asset is replaced, not the reference.
  • Existing assets need a run. Watching covers new uploads.
  • Consider a conservative profile for brand master assets, which are usually re-exported downstream.

Disconnecting

Remove the connector in Inverity, then revoke the token in Frontify.

Troubleshooting

  • "Domain not found" — check the domain character by character.
  • "Token is invalid" — confirm the token's scopes include writing assets.
