Brandfolder
Connect Brandfolder with an API key and your Brandfolder ID.
What you'll need
- An API key with permission to read assets and add new ones
- Your Brandfolder ID — which Brandfolder in your organization to connect
Create the API key
Generate an API key from your Brandfolder account settings. Copy it when it's shown.
Connect
- In the Inverity dashboard, open Connectors and choose Brandfolder.
- Enter the API key and the Brandfolder ID.
- Select the collections you want watched.
How write-back works
Inverity adds the optimized file as a new version of the asset rather than overwriting your master. See How write-back works.
Good to know
- Confirm the Brandfolder ID. Organizations often have several Brandfolders; connecting the wrong one is the most common setup mistake here.
- Existing assets need a run. Watching a collection covers new uploads.
- Approval workflows. If your Brandfolder sits inside an approval process, adding versions may interact with it. Test on a small collection first — see DAM connectors.
- Consider a conservative profile for master libraries.
Disconnecting
Remove the connector in Inverity, then revoke the API key in Brandfolder.
Troubleshooting
- "Token is invalid" — the key may lack write permission.
- Nothing is being optimized — confirm the Brandfolder ID is the one holding the collections you selected.
See Connector errors.
