Acquia DAM (Widen)

Connect Acquia DAM with your domain and an API token.

Acquia DAM is the platform formerly known as Widen; you may see either name in your own account.

What you'll need

  • Your Acquia DAM domain — the full domain you use to reach the platform
  • An API token with permission to read assets and upload new versions

Create the token

Generate an API token in your Acquia DAM settings with read and upload permissions. Copy it when it's shown.

Connect

  1. In the Inverity dashboard, open Connectors and choose Acquia DAM.
  2. Enter your domain exactly as it appears in your browser, and paste the token.
  3. Select the collections you want watched.

How write-back works

Inverity adds the optimized file as a new version or rendition of the asset rather than overwriting your master. See How write-back works.

Good to know

  • The domain must match exactly. A "domain not found" error is almost always a subdomain mismatch.
  • Metadata and rights fields are untouched by the connector itself. If your workflow depends on embedded file metadata rather than DAM-side fields, test a sample round-trip first — see Image optimization.
  • Existing assets need a run. Watching covers new uploads.
  • Consider a conservative profile for master libraries.

Disconnecting

Remove the connector in Inverity, then revoke the token in Acquia DAM.

Troubleshooting

  • "Domain not found" — check the domain character by character.
  • "Token is invalid" — confirm upload permission, and whether the token has an expiry date that has passed.

See Connector errors.
